For this project, I went for a different kind of look. Dribbble inspired design with unusual color combinations. Limited the use for scroll bar to test out usability. Turns out not super user friendly but unique in its own ways. Like Particle plugin, elegant solution to an otherwise dull site. Also doesn't affect performance, light weight and works well.
